I can see!

I don’t know how it is for you but I usually don’t have the guts to pray with sincerity like David did, “Search me, O God, and know my heart” (Psalm 139:23). Remove this heart of stone and replace it with one of flesh that beats in your will, not mine.

In my life, much of my “blindness” has been self- imposed;

If I saw what I choose not to see I would be at a difficult crossroad; needing either to respond in love to the need of a brother or offer up a reason to pass him by.

But that’s not the heart of God, is it.

Nathaniel exclaimed, “I can see, now.  I can see!”IMGP9053-web

One of the volunteers from the Vine OKC, (Church in the Park), had given him a pair of reading glasses –simply saw a need and responded in love.  Nathaniel’s delight at being able to read along with the scripture message that day was a gift to be treasured.

Can one answer a call of the “heart” with a gift of a $5.00 pair of reading glasses?

Yes.
